Frequently asked questions
Here are some answers to frequently asked questions.
If you still can't find what you're looking for, get in touch.
How many times have people made jokes about the movie Ghost?
Do you make custom orders or commissions?
Absolutely. You can order unique pieces made to your individual needs for your home, business, or restaurant. Get in touch and we can have a chat about your specific requirements.
Can I hire your work for a shoot?
Definitely. If you’re interested in hiring my work, please get in touch.
How often do you update your shop?
I put new stock into the shop every few months. But if you would like something in particular, or need it sooner, please get in touch.
The product I want is no longer in stock, will it be coming back?
I make things in small batches and many of my items are one-offs. However, if you have your heart set on a particular piece and it’s not stocked in the quantity that you need or is sold-out, it can be made to order. Delivery times may vary for custom-made products.
What payment methods do you accept?
You can pay using credit and debit cards for both Visa and MasterCard as well as American Express.
Where do you deliver to?
I can send orders worldwide, but if you live outside of the UK please get in touch before you place your order.
How much does delivery cost?
Prices within the UK vary depending on the weight of your order and are based on rates from Royal Mail.
Outside of the UK, please get in touch for a delivery quote. Note that you may be responsible for import duties and taxes on your international order. Sadly, I have no control over these charges and cannot predict what they may be.
Can I place an order online and collect it from your studio?
Certainly. If you live in or around Bristol or are passing through the city and would prefer to collect your order, get in touch to organise a date and time to pop by. Use the promo code ‘CLICK&COLLECT' at checkout so you won't be charged for delivery.
How long will it take to receive my order?
All orders will be sent within 3 working days. All UK deliveries are sent with Royal Mail First Class, are signed for and should arrive within a couple of days of being posted. International orders are sent with UPS and delivery times will vary.
Where’s my order?
Sometimes the postman can be a little slow, so I ask you to allow two to three days each side of the estimated delivery times. If your order is still missing after this period then please get in touch.
My order was broken on arrival, can I get a replacement or a refund?
All orders are carefully packed to ensure safe arrival into your excited open arms. However, despite my best efforts, the journey can sometimes be a little rougher than expected. If your item is broken on arrival, please take a photo of it and get in touch to discuss a replacement or refund ASAP.
Do you accept returns?
If you don’t fall in love at first sight and would like to return your order, that’s okay. I can offer a full refund excluding the cost of delivery. Please get in touch immediately to let me know that you intend to return an item/s.
All items must be returned unused, in original packaging and in saleable condition. You will be responsible for the delivery costs and ensuring the items are returned safely and in one piece. Please ask for a proof of posting receipt at the Post Office when you send your goods back. This is your insurance if it gets lost or damaged in the post.
Please note that purchase of sale items is non refundable.
Are your ceramics ethically produced?
Absolutely. I believe in making stuff in a low impact way, so my wheel and kiln are powered using green energy and all my pieces are made with the greatest care for our planet. They are designed to last, be cherished and used for a lifetime.
Additionally, all packaging is ethically sourced, reusable and/or recyclable.
Are your ceramics food safe?
They are. All items are made from high-fired stoneware or porcelain so are durable, food safe and made to be used and enjoyed.
How do I care for my ceramics?
All items are dishwasher safe but prefer a hand wash. Avoid using abrasive washing powders or harsh scourers as these may damage the glaze. Also, sudden changes in temperature – from cold to hot, or hot to cold – can cause the items to crack or break. Don’t use them on the stovetop, in the oven, microwave, or place in the freezer.
My items aren’t all exactly the same?
Each piece is created entirely by hand. It has its own character and tells its own story through the marks that show the process of making. Shapes, size, colour, texture and finish may vary. These characteristics make each piece perfectly unique.
